Politicians in Congress have proposed a financial transaction tax described as a “tax on Wall Street” that would be levied every time a stock or bond is bought or sold. This tax would put the savings of working people at risk, from public employees, essential workers, and parents saving for their children’s education, to union members, seniors, retirees, and everyday investors.
